“Along the Old Potowmack Canal” has been selected for the American Artists Professional League’s 83 Grand National Exhibit

The show will be held in the main gallery at the Salmagundi Club, 47 5th Ave. NYC from Tuesday, November 1st to Saturday, November 11th. Two of my paintings, “Spring Rush” and “Between the Sun and the Moon” have been selected by Ambassador and Mrs. Wohler’s for an Exhibit at the U.S. Embassy in Soltje, Macedonia. The show will be curated by Sarah Tanguy of the Art in Embassies program at the State Department.

My Painting "Heading to the Falls" has been accepted for exhibition
at this years Salmagundi Annual Juried Painting & Sculpture Exhibition for
Non-Members.

The exhibtion will be held in the Main Gallery at the Salmagundi Club, 47 5th Ave. at 12th St., New York, NY. The dates are August 8th-19th with an awards reception on Friday, August 19th from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Gallery is open to the public Monday-Friday 1-6pm and Saturday &Sunday 1-5pm.

My solo exhibit at Avenue Beau Sejour Gallery in Great Falls VA closed on May 26th. It was a large show with 32 landscapes of the Outer Banks and Northern Virginia. It was a wonderful experience for me!

November 2010 "October Afternoon" received an Honorable Mention from juror Emily Conover at the annual, juried Small Works Show at the Art League Gallery in Old Town Alexandria

August 2010 An Honorable Mention was awarded to "Spring Rush" at the annual, juried International Landscape
Show, "Scapes". The juror was Joey P. Manlapaz, painter and faculty member at the Corcoran School of Art and Design in Washington DC. www.theartleague.com

July 2010 An Honorable Mention was awarded to “Winter Sky, Currituck Sound” by juror Howard Paine, for 33 years the Art Director of National Geographic magazine

March 14, 2010, "Minds Wide Open: Virginia Celebrates Women in the Arts". The Virginia Chamber Orchestra will showcase four women in the arts at a special concert at the Ernst Cultural Center at Northern Virginia Community College. I will be the visual artist featured with an exhibit of some of my paintings at the gallery adjoining the concert venue. Read the press release for details here.

Honorable Mention was awarded to “The Three Sisters of the Potomac” by juror Steve Munoz (Director of the Lee Arts Center, Arlington VA) at the January All Media Show at the Art League Gallery. Show dates are January 6th through 31st.

An Honorable Mention was awarded to “Potomac, Rushing to the Big Drop” by juror Berthold Schmutzgard (Professor Emeritus of the Corcoran School of Art) at the September All Media Show at the Art League Gallery, Alexandria VA. The show will be on view from September 9th to October 4th

Art in the Embassies: “Early Flight and “Summer Evening Above the Potomac” have been selected by Ambassador and Mrs. Jeffries for a show entitled “In Awe of Nature” on view at the Embassy until 2011.  A catalogue is now available from the State Department.

Best of America Oil Artists and Artisans:
“Into the Deep” and “Clouds Over Currituck Sound” are featured in this book by Kennedy publishing.
